Eclipse HUD Manual

First off this HUD is in a open beta for everyone to participate it! That means you can suggest content to be added to it for when I release the finished product. Before the open beta, the HUD was bug tested extensively as it has been in development for many months. Eclipse HUD is made to be the most powerful HUD. Other HUDs might claim to be the most powerful, but Eclipse HUD actually is. Eclipse HUD has the strongest attacks, painstakingly made and tested by myself over many months. Now it is your chance to use them for yourself. In addition to attacks, Eclipse HUD has strong defenses that allow you to win any battle without needing to fight back. You can reflect attacks back on to your attack or to other avatars in the sim. Finally, no combat HUD would be complete without great utilities. Eclipse HUD contains all the basic utilities you need for second life, with no extra crap that is unnecessary that you may find in other HUDs, causing them to run slower.

Now that all of the above has been said, you can look bellow to see everything the HUD does in its entirety.

So Eclipse HUD has the unique ability to allow you to use only the parts of it you want at any given time. If you only want the radar, then you can minimize all other parts of the HUD and only use the radar. To do this all you have to do is click the green circle radar symbol on the side of the HUD to show and hide the radar. Clicking the radar circle button again will hide the radar. This functions the same for all the HUD’s menus, just with their own different icons. The radar will display up to 50 avatars at a time and how far they are from you.

The small red ball above the targeting panel will show / hide the entire hud and all the other icons and menus, perfect for using the HUD chat commands only, or saving screen space while the HUD is not in use. To read about chat commands go to the bottom of the manual. Next to the small red ball is a red X icon, this icon will quick end all rezzed out attacks.

The targeting system bar is to the right of the T symbol. You will notice two arrow sets the >> and << next to the targeting panel that displays the current avatars name and display name. Clicking the right >> will allow you to scroll forward through targets in the region, and clicking the << on the left will allow you to scroll back. There is no limit to the amount of targets, Eclipse HUD is able to hold the maximum of 100 avatars in a regions in its targeting system.

To the right of the targeting bar, and its forward and back buttons, you will notice another two icons. Clicking the top one will show the simulator info panel (the little I symbol), the one under it is for the radar (as mentioned above). The info panel shows you the region name, the host simulator, restrictions for the region such as no build, no push, no scripts, the amount of lag in the region out of 100%, the frames per seconds in the region, and your script stats, along with the amount of used prims on the parcel/region your are in out of total prims.

Under the targeting panel you will notice three more icons. Each one is for one of the main menus. In order from left to right, the main menus are: Attacks, Defense, and the Assistance menu. The dagger icon for attacks, shield for defense, and hammer for tolls / assist functions.

Each option for each menu will be explained bellow in detail.

~~~~~~~Attacks Menu~~~~~~~
end attacks – Ends all active attacks in the region.
end target – Ends all active attacks on the current locked in target.
ORBIT – The Eclipse HUD orbiter differs from most other HUDs orbiters. Eclipse HUD’s orbiter will use key frames, push, force, and other methods all at once to achieve maximum upwards velocity, launching your target to the maximum height in the sim in a matter of seconds.
SLAMMER – A new age follower using the latest lsl commands to lock onto and follower the target. Slammer also uses sub objects it creates with key framed motion to shove the target at the maximum velocity possible.
PUSH BLOCK – Push block is the most basic attack in Second Life. A follower block that is push scripted with maximum push, and many sub scripts to ensure the target is hit as hard as possible. Note that this object uses llPush and will only work in push enabled regions. For no push regions try the slammer.
DOOM LAG – Only use this on people you really hate.
MESH LAG – DOOM LAG but stronger and more targeted. Only use this in proper combat sims or on griefers or people attacking you, or as a last resort. This is very nasty and should not be abused.
KILL – Automatically kills any target that it comes in contact with. Works on any linden damage enabled sim.
TAGGER – 25+ Particle tags that cycle automatically and randomly. All insulting, all very funny.
KFM TURRET – Launches key framed blocks at the target from a floating block about the target. Each block will slam into the target as fast as possible, shoving them harder upon each impact.
PERM TAKER – For those who do not know about permission takers, a permission taker will allow you to animate a target however you wish. The target will be surrounded by a invisible balls, once they click any place on their screen the ball will become a checkered pink and black color and float above your avatar. Clicking it will allow you to animate the target however you like. The menu given by the perm taker has MANY animations, some that will stretch them all across the sim, some that make their avatars attachments, or even their mesh bodies fall right off! And of course, some that cause them to dance, congo, or do other silly things. The best part is you can save this permissions object back into your inventory to use any time.
>>at>> Takes you to the second attacks menu
<<at<< If you have not guessed, this takes you back to the first attacks menu.
Perm cover – Covers all objects the target creates with permission stealers. Each stealer will function like the perm taker listed above. This will do ALL objects the target makes in a region. Scripted, physical, non scripted, you name it.
SPAM – I shouldn’t need to explain this. It hits hard.
CAGE – A classic binding cage that contours around the target, binding them and making it impossible to move.
CLUSTER – This is another classic attack. A cluster uses many physical boxes to slam into the target and shove them around using only physics. This will work anywhere physics is enabled. As a added bonus, it will do chip damage in linden damage enabled regions.
BANG – A large beam of dark energy and energy pulses that will frag and shove the target around. Works in no push zones as well and has particles with large pulsating rings that will surround the target.
CHAT SPY – Logs all chat from the target and region say it back to your avatar only. This way it is 100% undetectable. If you leave the region, chat spy will self destruct, so you do not need to worry about clean up.
DRAGGER – Encases the target in a ball, this allows you to drag them around as you please. Just lick and drag.
FILL – This is a last resort only! This will fill the sim so no one can build. In addition if someone tries to select the fill object it will lag them heavily.
BIG BLAST added to attacks page two. BIG BLAST – A huge energy blast that is very visual. Features expanding plasma balls that go up to 64x64x64 in dimension, gray energy particles, sounds for each ball on rez, a huge pillar of light that beams down on the target, and four lazer beam blocks that point into and follow the target, nudging them, as well as an invisible cage to capture the target, restricting their movement to jumping only, which will then trigger the pointed laser beams to nudge them around as well.
Every attack uses fast past up to date targeting. In addition all attacks call back to the HUD if they miss a target or a target is not found. If this happens in a maximum of ten seconds the attack will attempt to relaunch itself. All attacks have a sim wide range.
**no rez takes you to a menu filled with attacks that do not need build or script permissions, they just require the target to be in the same sim.
slam – Slams your avatars body into the target until you stop it by clicking the slam button again. The end attacks button on the main menu of the attacks menu can also be used if you do not wish to click slam a second time.
follow – Follows the target avatar and lightly pushes them until you stop it by clicking the follow button again, you can also use the end button on the main menu of the attacks menu.
stand – Forces you to stand on the target avatars head. Stop it by clicking the stand button again, can also be stopped by the end attacks button.
rager – Lunges you forward at your target once at a high velocity slamming you into them.
uber rage – Rager but it executes 25 times.
fake restart – Offers a dialog that when clicked by the target crashes their browser and sometimes their pc.
new lines – Clicking once will enable this. Clicking it again will stop it, this function can also be stopped by the end attacks button. When active new lines will send thousands of lines of laggy blank text to the target.
poke – Uses push to shove the target without the need for rez or scripts. REQUIRES PUSH
dialog spam – Spams the target with dialogs.
nr orbit – Shoves the target upwards without the need for rez or scripts. RQUIRES PUSH. The closer you are the the target the stronger the push.
nr2>> – Takes you to the second page of the no rez menu.
nr crush – Shoves the target into the ground, is the opposite of nr orbit. REQUIRES PUSH.
xpull – Sends a reverse pull to the target on the x axis, pulling them to you on the x axis. REQUIRES PUSH.
ypull – Sends a reverse pull to the target on the y axis, pulling them to you on the y axis. REQUIRES PUSH.
zpull – Sends a reverse pull to the target on the z axis, pulling them to you on the z axis. REQUIRES PUSH.
**end no rez attacks menu
>>at3>> – Takes you to the third attacks page.
<<at2<< – Takes you back to the second attacks page.
TARGETED EMITTER – In addition to following the target, if the target tries to go into a safe zone or off world, the particles will continue to follow the target, even if the object itself cannot.
ANNOY – A annoying black glowing block that nudges the target gently while changing size and shape. Very annoying.
MR MEGA – Giant follower that is 256, 256, 256, along with a 64x64x64 follower, 32x32x32, 16x16x16, 8x8x8, 4x4x4, 2x2x2, 1x1x1 that all glow, loop textures, blink, and are annoying.
RLV SCREW – Uses a secret method to take over the targets rlv if they have it on. After gaining rlv it makes the target unable to receive ims, chat, touch things, sit or unsit, see float text, see the world map, disallows them to go afk, forces their camera to always be at 1 meter in, makes them unable to use their camera, makes all avatars appear as silhouettes, makes them unable to tp or use landmarks, makes the target unable to look at their inventory.
Added HEXAGONER to attacks. HEXAGONER – Uses key framed turret hexagons to slam into the target, also uses physical cluster hexagons, as well as a nonphysical bumper prim, and has cool accented surrounding ring prim effects. Also plays funky chip tune music and flashes colors.
core – Contacts the no rez core. View the Optional parts notecard to see all the core functions.
colors – Takes you to the colors menu.
**colors menu
Everything under this menu after the <<at2<< button (which will take you back one menu), will allow you to change the colors of your rezzed attacks.
The following attacks are no recolorable, because they are invisible or have sub peices that cannot be recolored for technical reasons: doom lag, kfm turret, kill, perm cover, perm taker, slam, tagger.
**end of the colors menu
auto target – Automatically uses the attack listed as the first line in the targets notecard on any of the names in the target list that would be found in the sim. To add people to the targets list just add their name line by line to the target list. To change the attack just change the first line of the targets list notecard to the attack you want.
That is the end of the attacks menu WOO!
~~~~~~~Defense Menu~~~~~~~

Everything under the defense menu will protect your avatar from various types of harm.

npv – Takes you to the npv menu. Your npv will protect you from harm from any object other than crashers. Npv’s make your avatar phantom and forces anything that would collide with you to pass through harmlessly. The npv in Eclipse HUD has walking and standing animations to make it more realistic than other npvs, and has options for colors and particle effects. Note that the npv in the HUD will automatically sit you on it if you have rlv enabled, this way you do not have to click anything in the region to activate or sit on the npv. This helps reduce the risk of accidentally clicking on a permission stealer.

*start npv menu options

d<<d Takes you back to the defensive options menu.

/reflective npv will plop the npv out next to you, click or sit on the npv to activate it. You can move around with the arrow keys while on your npv, and up/down with the page up and page down keys.

Wow that sure was a lot of text! Thank you for reading as being informed will let you get the most out of your HUD.

Oh what, we still need to cover CHAT COMMANDS!

So to target someone type @name or @partofname, an example would be @xylex or @xylex doomdale, or @xyle. In addition you do not have to worry about caps in targets names, typing @XYLEX DOOMDALE would be the same as @xylex doomdale, or @XyLeX DooMDALE.

To do any chat commands, just type $command name. Like @undeform or for a module rex @/shield.
